Alison Miniter

Alison Miniter is a Master Photographer, a Photographic Craftsman, an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop and a Certified Professional Photographer working near the Boston area. She is also a trainer for the Special Kids Photography of America (SKPA), a non-profit organization that educates photographers to work more effectively with special needs children. She currently serves as the secretary for SKPA.

Miniter has been awarded the Photographer of the Year from the Professional Photographers of America. In addition, she has won the Kodak gallery award, American Society of Photographers awards, Certified Professional Photographers Awards and Courts of Honor.

She is a graduate of the New England School of Photography; University of Massachusetts, Boston. She also received certificates for digital graphic design from the North Shore Community College, for multimedia applications from UMass Lowell.

She has worked as a professional photographer near Boston, MA for several newspapers, as well as Wang Laboratories and the US Air Force, before opening her own studio in Ipswich, Massachusetts.

Miniter prefers photography that extends beyond mainstream boundaries, recently developing a specialty in vintage, antique and classic car portraiture called “Cars2Art.”

When asked, she’ll tell you she’d “rather color outside the lines”.
